DVDs and Blu Rays

​The North Bay Public Library has an extensive collection of DVDs and Blu Rays for patrons to borrow, ranging from movies and miniseries, to television programs and documentaries.  We also have a selection of children and family-friendly DVDs and Blu Rays located in the Children's Department.

Library patrons may have out 5 DVDs and/or Blu Rays at a time, including items from the Children's Department.  They circulate for one week and cannot be renewed or held; the late charge for DVDs and Blu Rays is $2 per day to a maximum of $20.

Game Night!

Drop in to the North Bay Public Library for an evening of board games and snacks! Bring your own game and play an old favourite or learn a new game, and socialize. This event is for all ages. Families are welcome.

Seedlings Storytime

The Gathering Place and the North Bay Public Library presents Seedlings Storytime, a program of stories and hands-on activity relating to plants and gardening for ages 6 and up happening Thursday evenings from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. starting May 30 through August 29, 2019. This event takes place either at the Children’s Storyroom, Sweetman Garden, or at the Gathering Place garden. Registration will begin on Saturday, May 4 at 9:30 a.m. in person at the Children’s Desk. Registration is $45.00, with $40.00 for each additional sibling in a family. Enrollment is LIMITED to 16 children. For questions regarding registration call the Children’s Desk (705)474-4830.

Author Talk featuring Janice Richardson

Join us for an Author Talk featuring former North Bay resident, Janice Richardson, author of an Amazon bestseller, A Spencer Funeral Home Niagara cozy mystery series, for tips on navigating the publishing world. Writing a book is a journey that has many different pathways. During this event, Richardson will discuss strategies in self-publishing, outlining the steps through traditional publishing, hybrid publishing and self-publishing. This event will be followed by a Q&A session with the Author. Date: Wednesday, October 9, 2019. Time: 6:30 - 8 p.m. Place: the Children's Storyroom, North Bay Public Library This is a free event.
