About the TD Summer Reading Club Program
TD Summer Reading Club is Canada’s biggest, bilingual summer reading program for kids of all ages, all interests, and all abilities. It is a free program offered by many libraries across the country, including the North bay Public Library!
How to sign up:
Kids and parents/caregivers can participate at anytime! Register in the Children's Dept. or by phone by calling 705-474-4830 to get a reading kit. Participants can track their reading and do weekly checkins, get weekly incentives, do crafts, and join special events!
There are also fun activities online so participants can stay engaged from anywhere. Visit tdsummerreaingclub.ca to check out the Battle of the Books, post reviews, do weekly trivia, find recommended reads and more!
Beginning on July 4, join us for the TD Summer Reading Club StoryWalk. Stroll along the path outside the library building on Worthington St. and enjoy a fun family activity, reading a story from one page to the next.
This year, the North Bay Public Library is featuring two titles: The first book on display is a bilingual version (English and French) titled I Am Scary / Je Suis Terrible by Montreal author and illustrator Elise Gravel. The second book will be Sometimes I Feel Like a Fox, written and illustrated by Danielle Daniel, an author living on Manitoulin Island.
Weather permitting, the TD StoryWalk will be out for viewing on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 10:00 a.m. through to 5:00 p.m., Wednesday from 12:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
